Mahogany

'Mahogany' is probably the most misued term for timber ever! There are dozens of timbers given the moniker, but only a handful are the real deal and the best is Cuban Mahogany, which hasn't been available for about 50 years in any commercial quantity.

Our stocks were salvaged from the work benches of Winfrith when it was shut down 30 years ago. Saved from a bonfire this timber sat in a garage until a couple of years ago when it was offered to us for our restoration works and we still have a little left.

A dream to work with its very nearly the equal of Teak for its durability and workability. Fabulous finish and deep natural lustre this timber is perfect for restoration projects.
